The Fruit of Generosity

Our continuing success is a testimony to the committed families, faculty, volunteers, and donors who have invested in the ministry of SSCS over more than two decades. We are grateful to the faithful supporters who have partnered with us.

Giving to Saint Simons Christian School

Saint Simons Christian School is non-profit, 501(c)3, independent Christian school. Like most independent, private schools, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to provide an exceptional experience that far exceeds the actual cost of tuition.

Georgia Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program or Private School Tax Credit

Claim Dollar-for-Dollar Tax Credits on Your Georgia Income Tax for Scholarship Donations to SSCS

Decide how your state tax dollars are spent. Under Georgia's Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program, you or your business can allocate Georgia tax dollars to SSCS and claim dollar-for-dollar tax credits on your Georgia income tax for scholarship donations made through a qualified SSO, up to the program’s limits and your tax liability.  Since its inception, SSCS has received over 800,000 dollars through the Georgia QEE Tax Credit Program to fund scholarships for qualified students who might not otherwise be able to attend private school.

WAYS TO PLAY (AND GIVE)

We want to engage with our donors!  Each year, we host a fall Under The Oaks Run and a spring Dinner & Auction. Join us for these events and get to know the SSCS family.

Under the Oaks Run (UTO)—5K, 10K, Half Marathon

Do you enjoy running or walking? SSCS’s Under The Oaks Run is a great way to support the school and enjoy Jekyll Island in October.

Spring Event and Auction

Everyone loves a soiree! Enjoy an evening of fellowship, food, and fun as you outbid your neighbor for the best auction item! The auction begins online several weeks before the event and concludes with the event.  A great time of excitement for everyone.

Annual Fund

Each year, SSCS makes an appeal to our supporters to fund specific areas of need or growth that require funds outside of normal operations. Please consider contributing to SSCS before year’s end.

Make A Gift

Tax deductible donations can be made to SSCS mailed to the school at 1060 Coquina Circle, St. Simons, Georgia 31522. Donors will receive a letter of thanks and receipt for their gift. Please call our office, 912-634-8177, with any questions.

SSCS has tax exempt status under section 501 [C][3] of the IRS code. Contributions made directly to the school are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
